Playing Outside

The last couple of weeks it has actually warmed up enough that we wanted to go outside and play. Need I mention that there is not much snow in this picture and that was a good sign to me that maybe spring is on the way.
It was not that cold that afternoon last week, but Ashton loves to wear his winter coat and we could multiply his love of the winter coat X 100 and that would be how much he loves his boots. I am actually more surprised that he does not want to wear them in the heat of the summer. Ashton also loves to swing, all day, everyday! He would love it if I just stood there for hours on end to push him higher and higher only wanting to get off for treats. The problem is that I do not want to stand there all day, everyday. After ten minutes I am good and thinking of any excuse to leave and only return when he finds me "hiding." I wish I knew how to convince him that he is old enough to swing by himself, he is 4! If anyone has any suggestions on this PLEASE let me know!
Also another funny about the swing is that there are 3 swings outside, two big boy swings and one for babies. This particular swing is Ashton's. Just ask him and he will tell you. Sometimes he will share with his friends if he has too, it should be interesting over the summer if he will share it with Ransom as I think he is getting big enough for big boy swings. Ransom was so cute here too. Last summer the baby swing just upset him because he was stuck there. Last week he was so happy to be outside swinging. He would just giggle his cute giggle and I know it is hard to see with his hat, but smile his cute smile. I loved it and cannot wait until it warms up a little more and we can all spend more time outside swinging and sliding.
