Tuesday Tell All

I decided to do a Tuesday Tell All about Pioneers in lieu of Pioneer day this week.
I thought that I would share these photos that Laura was kind enough to scan for me. This was the pioneer day parade that we did at Beaver Valley Ward in July of 1982, we are guessing. I do not remember may after this but they were fun and the picture now is even better. Can you find me?

A pioneer is defined as "one who is the first to do something", or "one who opens up the way for others". As far as Pioneers go I think of my parents as Pioneers. They were the first to join the church when a friend/coworker asked them to listen to the missionaries and not long after they were baptized and a short time later they were sealed in the temple for eternity with three children by their sides. They completely accepted the doctrine and their faith was strengthened.
Who knew that because of two righteous decisions and faith so many more lives would be touched. All of us have been to the temple and many of us have served missions, and touched even more lives. Now their grand kids carry on their legacy. Thanks mom and dad, I don't know that I could have just excepted it.

A special day

On Saturday I went with David to the temple in Denver. It is a beautiful temple. Which one is not beautiful?
It has been impossible for me to get pictures of Tahlia smiling by myself so here she is all smiles with a giant flower on her head.
Saturday evening my Aunt and Uncle came to dinner at Davids house. It had been about 14 years since I had seen them. See you did not break the camera mom!
Heather, Darin and James were there with us for the day and it was fun to see them
I have not done a self picture in years so here you go! Not too bad if I say so.
Here is Tahlia and her cousin once removed, James. James is about 3 weeks older. They are both pretty cute.

This was Tahlia's second plane ride to go home. She did really well and was happy to go home.
David I am really proud of you!

Sleeping!

Last Wednesday Ransom fell asleep on my lap within a few minutes and I rolled him off me and left to do something and when I returned I found Ashton asleep too. Then when I checked on Tahlia I found her like this. This just cracks me up, her hands by her head. Ashton used to sleep like that too, especially in his car seat. It is just so cute.
