We did head south so John could go deer hunting with his dad and brother. None of them got anything this year and I am very happy about this. The memories of me helping cutting up one last year are still a little to fresh for my taste.

Grandma's House
A couple of weeks ago Ashton told me that he really like "Daddy's Grandma and Grandpa's house." I said "Oh, why is that?" And he said "They have dress up cloths." So here he is all dressed up. He seriously loves Halloween and dressing up anytime of the year.
Ransom of course did not want to be left out and so here he is dressed up too.
Zoo
On October 9th I took the kids to the zoo. I met Laura and her kids, and Sara and her kids, and Angie and her kids there. I helped getting my nephews, Sam and Jarom to the Zoo too. It was a busy day and a lot of driving for me, but we had a lot of fun getting the kids out and seeing the animals. I have only been there during the heat of the summer and the animals stay as cool as possible and hide. Since it was a perfect day to get out weather, it was nice to see the animals out and enjoying the sunshine ans cooler weather too.
This is how Ransom measures up to the Gorilla!

four year old view of the world!
I think that the title says it all. This is what you get when you give a four year old a camera when it is on.

(A self portrait)

He thought that it was so much fun last night he wanted to do it again today! There were many many more. It's funny to think we never did that when we were young the film was too expensive, now who cares use the delete button and recharge the battery, done!
The new game at our house is closing the gate and making others ask to get through it. Well the other day their gate was the gate at the bottom of the steps and they closed that gate and I stopped to ask for passage. Ashton replied "credit card, please!"
Then last week Ransom asked to sit on the potty to go "popo" I said fine and put him there but he does not like to stay for long and then runs around back and forth until he goes. Then I asked Ransom "why do you stay on the potty for daddy and not me?" Then Ashton pipes in and says "Ransom, do you like daddy better too?" What a mean child I have!
I know that I keep adding to this post I am just too forgetful. But this is classic Ashton. The other night I did not think that the morning was ever going to come. Tahlia wanted to eat at 2am, surprise, surprise. Then Ransom woke up at 4am crying and crying and would not stop so I went to calm him down and asked him what he wanted and he said "drink" So me being very tired I said "Why?" At that point Ashton chimes in from the darkness "I think he is thirsty!" Well, thank you Captain Obvious for that. I decided that I guess I better just get the drink so that we could all go back to sleep and hope that it would be late when everyone woke up.
Our Weekends!
A couple of weeks ago John's work was celebrating 20 years for the concentrator and was giving tours of it, had lunch and activities for the kids. The kids had to be 5 and older so I sent Ashton with his dad to get a good look at it. He loved it! Of course digging in the saw dust for vampire teeth was the highlight for him. If you need a pair of orange vampire teeth we have more than enough.
Last Saturday we went to an activity for Ransom through early intervention program that he gets his speech therapy from. There we met Bumble the mascot of the Salt Lake Bees.

Then I sent the boys to get their milk mustache picture taken. John what is wrong with yours?

baby love
A couple of weeks ago John was holding Tahlia and she found his shoe string and started to chew on it. YUCK! As she did that I remembered that Ransom use to do the same thing.
Her first time in the jummper last week and she fell asleep!
All dressed for church and no place to go. She looks just like a little princess if I say so myself.
