So at the beginning of this month Angie invited us to go to Bear Lake for a week and stay at her in laws cabin. I did not have much else to do so I took her up on the offer. It turned out great. The kids had a great time playing and so did I. Over the couple of days that we were there we did lots of stuff but still took it easy. Here is cute Jake ready to go to the cabin after playing in the water.

Here is hansom Ransom happy with all the sand he can stand to play in.

Ashton just loves the cool water. He thinks that going to Bear Lake is great too.

Before we headed to the beach it started to rain so we took some time and made cookies with the kids. Jake and Ashton thought that it was fun to do and then even better to sneak bites of cookie dough.

Here was Joey and Ransom's haven. An old pool used as a sand box. Nothing was better that that.

We were there during Raspberry day, Bear Lake is famous for its Raspberry shakes, so one evening we thought that we would take the kids to the parade and get candy, but we got there a few minutes late and to avoid the sadness we got the kids cheap ice cream cones and they were so happy with that. What a great day.

The next day we took the kids up a canyon to a place called Minutonka caves and this time we were able to get tickets and take the kids in. They all thought that it was pretty fun. It was definitely alot of work for us. Tahlia decide to take a nap right in the middle of the tour and Ransom decided that he needed my constant help going up and down the steps. I am glad we did it, it was fun to take the kids to see something that they normally would not see.

The last day there John and Justin came up. Angie and Justin took us and the kids out on the boat. Here I am on the tube with Ashton. Who knew that I could do that! Ashton thought that the tube was pretty fun in about 4 minute intervals. Why four minutes you ask? Because he is four. He got that from his "tricky brain."

Ransom did not want to go out on the tube, but he did just fall asleep right there on the boat, crazy little kid.

Angie and Justin were very brave and let Ashton drive the boat. He did a good job. For some crazy reason they thought that I should drive the boat later and well, just let me say for they they paid the price! Sorry guys! I my defense I have only been on a boat like this a few times in my life.

Tahlia thought that it was a good place to sleep with the life vest on and everything, she never complained. And John the party pooper did not even bring his suit.

I forgot to mention the beloved four wheelers. I did not get a picture of that but that was Ashton's favorite thing, riding on the four wheeler and as it turns out Jake's favorite thing was me getting the four wheeler stuck. What scan I say it was a week fun of firsts for me.
It was a great trip and very relaxing. We had a great time with the kids and I know that they did too. Thanks Angie for inviting us and to Justin's family for sharing what they have with us. I came home feeling better than I have in months and months. There are no words to express gratitude for that gift that I have been given.
