Hardware Ranch

On Thursday we took the kids to see the elk at Hardware ranch. Hardware Ranch is a place that the elk come to feed in the winter months. The feed is provided by government funding. We met up with Grandma and Grandpa, Laura and Garen, and Joy, Michael and the kids. We stood in line for over and hour to get a ride on the horse pulled trailer. We are guessing that it was about 18 degrees outside. We were all pretty chilled but it was fun to get out among the elk and watch them up close. The driver was guessing that there were over 450 elk out there that day.
This guy was the biggest one that they had out there that day. We finished our ride just as the sun was setting over the mountain and the for the temperature was to drop even more.
Next time I will make sure that I have boots and snow pants not just Ashton!

Where is that at...that would be so cool. Brad and I had mentioned that we had never seen Elk in person (well, one that wasn't locked up in a fench.)
